l   Theory of smart port spatial planning

Focusing on the top-level design and construction requirements of smart port, the research team proposes a series of smart port spatial planning theories based on Big data, AI, and other modern technological means. To realize the coordination and compatibility between port development and both internal and external environments in space and function perspectives. Relevant researches have been applied to 9 practical port planning projects in the Panjin Port, Algeria Port, Qingdao Port, etc.

l   Intelligent port construction theory and key technologies

From the perspective of smart port operation, the research team has conducted innovative research on the method of intelligent port collaborative scheduling, so as to realize the efficient, safe production, and multi-functional cooperative operation between subjects in ports. Relevant effects have been applied in actual projects of Yidu container yard of Dalian Port and production vulnerability assessment of Huanghua Port.

l   Basic theory of port planning

The research team has devoted more than 15 years’ efforts on the investigation of basic theory of port planning. Achievements including the proposal of quantitative analysis method of the coastal waterway capacity, the optimization method of routing scheme fairway, spatial scale of port collection and distribution channels and corresponding impacts on urban traffic, etc. Efforts of relevant research have been successfully applied in the projects of Jingtang Port Area and Caofeidian Port Area.
