    Professor Yi Luo earned his Ph.D. degree in 2004 at Tohoku University, under the direction of Prof. A. Miyamoto. After that, as a post-doctoral fellow, he joined the groups of Prof. Z. Hou in Riken and Prof. K. Ohno in Tohoku University. He has been a full professor of chemistry at Dalian University of Technology since 2009. His main research interest is the theoretical treatment of chemical reactions that involve d- and f-block metals. He is also interested in elucidating reaction mechanisms and structure-reactivity relationship to help experimentalists improve their catalysts. He is also active within environmental chemistry, by studying pollutants transformations. As the first or corresponding author, he has published more than 120 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Sci. Adv., and Nature Commun.
