Profile

Prof. Zhiyu Wang is currently a Professor of School of Chemical Engineering at Dalian University of Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University in 2008. Then he joined National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University as a research fellow in 2008 and 2009, respectively. In 2012, he moved to Technische Universität Dresden with Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship. In 2014, he was appointed as a full professor at Dalian University. 

Prof. Wang is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) since 2020. His research focuses on the electrochemical energy chemistry for advanced batteries and hydrogen production. He has published over 100 papers on high-profile journals such as Nature Communications, Science Advances, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Advanced Materials, Energy & Environmental Science and Angewandte Chemie with >14,000 citations by the global academic community with a h-index of 54. 

He received numerous prestigious awards such as the Chinese National Natural Science Foundation for Excellent Youth Scholars, the First Class Award of Natural Science by Liaoning Province of China, the First Class Award of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, the Program of Youth Talent for Rejuvenation of Liaoning Province, and outstanding Young Scientific Talents of Dalian in China. He serves as the editorial board members of several scientific journals including J. Energy Chem.Scientific ReportsNanomaterialsInfoMatSmartMatChinese Chem. Lett.Nano Research EnergyChinese Chemical Letter. He is also selected as the board committee of scientific organizations including Chinese Society of Particuology (CSP), International Academy of Electrochemical Energy Science (IAOEES). 

He is elected as one of the 2021 Most Cited Chinese Researchers by Elsevier for exceptional research performance in the field of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and one of the100,000 scientists across the world in 2022.
