Profile

Lin Li, PhD supervisor, Associate Professor. He is the head of the Solar Advanced Water to Hydrogen Innovation Research Group (SAHI). He was awarded the Provincial Excellent Doctoral Dissertation and the Wu Zhonghua Award of the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics. 2018, he was awarded as Associate Professor and selected as Dalian High-Level Talent and Dalian University of Technology Xinghai Talent Program.

In recent years, he presided over the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) surface project, NSFC youth project, China Postdoctoral Fund special funding project, etc.; participated in the NSFC key international cooperation projects, the National Key Research and Development Program sub-projects, Dalian City Key Area Innovation Team, etc. He has published more than 30 papers in Cell, Adv. Funct. Mater., Small, EcoMat, ACS AMI and other international journals. He has been cited more than 1300 times. He is a reviewer for Enery Environ. Sci., Adv. Funct. Mater., ACS Nano, Nano Energy, ACS AMI and other journals.

Solar energy and seawater are two of the most abundant resources on Earth, and the production of clean water and hydrogen from seawater by solar photothermal/photocatalytic conversion is a promising frontier science and technology that can effectively solve the serious problems faced today, such as shortage of clean water and energy crisis. As a result, solar hydrogen production has been named one of the most promising future energy technologies by Science, NASA, DOE and others. Solar interfacial evaporation was named as one of the top 10 frontier technologies of 2019 by Coreview and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In addition, the above technologies are closely related to China's current major strategies such as Belt and Road, South China Sea development, hydrogen energy and renewable energy development, etc. The SAHI Innovation Research Group is part of the Extreme Conditions Thermophysics and Energy Systems team (leader: Prof. David Tang), and SAHI has always been driven by scientific and technological innovation, working on solar interface evaporation desalination, solar interface catalytic hydrogen storage - hydrogen production, solar reforming SAHI has been working on solar interface evaporation desalination, solar interface catalytic hydrogen storage - hydrogen production and solar reforming.
