Abstract:Under foreground of the fault detection and isolation skill using in civil engineering, this paper presents the design of an H   fault detection and isolation (FDI) filter. State observation methods design FDI system. The linear matrix inequality (LMI) methods work out the FDI filter based on H  robust control theory. Simulation results for a three-story building are used to demonstrate the necessity of fault detection and the effectiveness of FDI. The controller minimizes the control objective selected in the presence of disturbances and faults. The residuals obtained from the filter through simulation clearly identified the fault signals. The simulation results of the proposed FTC controller confirm its effectiveness for vibration suppression of the faulty control system. ? 2010 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
