Dr. Rui Li is a full professor in the Department of Engineering Mechanics of Dalian University of Technology. He was a visiting scholar with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Northwestern University, USA. His research interests include plate and shell structures, mechanics of flexible electronics, soft matter, and mechanics in aeronautics and astronautics. He has published 100 journal papers in Nature, Science, Advanced Functional Materials, Soft Matter, International Journal of Solids and Structures, Proceedings of the Royal Society A, Journal of Applied Mechanics, etc., with more than 2000 citations. He is now serving on the editorial board of NPG journal Scientific Reports.
