Profile

Liu Yu, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor. He has been working in Dalian University of Technology since 2003, mainly engaged in research on multiphase flow and mass transfer of carbon dioxide geological storage, basic theory and equipment of natural gas hydrate exploitation, and application of nondestructive testing technology in engineering thermophysics. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Earth Environment Industry Technology Research Institute (RITE) in Japan from 2014 to 2015. As the person in charge, he has undertaken 2 national key research and development projects, 1 sub project of the "973" project, 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 project of the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and 5 projects commissioned by enterprises. As a key member, he participated in 12 projects including major special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the national "973" and "863" projects. He published two monographs and 169 SCI research papers, including 21 first author and 49 corresponding author. He obtained 34 authorized national invention patents. He gained the First Prize of the Ocean Engineering Technology Award (7/20, 2013), the First Prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (7/13, 2018), the Special Gold Award of the Geneva Invention Exhibition (7/12, 2019), and the First Prize of the Liaoning Provincial Technology Invention Award (5/6, 2021). He was selected as a high-level talent in Dalian.
