Profile

Dr Du is Associate Professor (tenure track) in Dalian University of Technology, Faculty of Infrastructure Engineering. She graduated from Tsinghua University, Department of Building Science (BEng) in 2016 and The University of Hong Kong, Department of Civil Engineering (PhD) in 2021. Her research focuses on the indoor environment of residential buildings, building simulation and occupant behavior, low-carbon life styles, behavior changes and behavioral efficiency. She has published over 10 papers coverd by SCI and in international academic conferences, including one ESI highly cited paper. Dr Du has participated in a series of research and consultant projects about sustainable buildings and infrastructure works funded by HKSAR Government. She has also been appointed as the youth editor of Building Simulation.

 

Research Interest:

·        Smart, sustainable and comfort built environment control

·        Occupant behaviors and energy efficiency in residential buildings

·        Low-carbon behavioral changes through the lens of social psychological theories
