刘宇，副教授，博导/硕导，研究方向包括计算机视觉和机器学习，现主要从事持续学习、零样本/小样本学习及其在多媒体图像处理与分析等方面的研究，目前已发表会议和期刊论文40余篇，包括计算机学会CCF推荐A类会议CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/ACM MM/AAAI/IJCAI，以及中科院Top期刊IEEE TPAMI/TIP/TNNLS/TMM，谷歌学术引用3500余次，ESI前1%高被引论文2篇。曾获得国际多媒体建模会议MMM 2017最佳论文奖、ICCV 2021优秀审稿人、2021年ACM中国(大连分会)新星奖，入选大连市引进中国籍海外高层次人才项目青年项目、大连市新引进高层次人才(青年才俊)。
