Dr. Mark is professor in Dalian University of Technology. He has long been engaged in rock engineering monitoring and early warning and stability analysis. Due to the National Disaster Early Warning and the important demand of the national rock mass engineering, the method of “Monitoring-based simulation and simulation-based early warning” is put forward, and the intelligent early warning cloud platform system for disaster prevention and control of large rock mass engineering is successfully constructed. He is the principle investigator of more than 4 National Funds, 1 national key research and development plan sub-project and over 20 major engineering projects. He won 3 first-class and 4 second-class provincial and ministerial awards for scientific and technological progress. He published more than 50 SCI/EI papers, was granted 4 Chinese invention patents and 4 software copyrights. He is serving as the deputy director of China Association for Standardization of Engineering Construction (Foundation Committee), Director of China Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering (soft rock engineering and deep disaster control branch), evaluation expert of Coal Mine Standardization Construction Committee of State Administration of Work Safety, and evaluation expert of National Energy Group (Shenhua) Bid Evaluation Committee.
