Dr Qiao is an associate professor and Xinghai Core Researcher in Dalian University of Technology, China. He obtained his bachelor's degree in Tsinghua University and doctoral degree in Harbin Institute of Technology. His research interests include deepwater floating structures and mooring positioning system. He has presided over projects such as National National Science Foundation of China Youth fund, the 51^st general fund Supported by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the 6^th  special fund Supported by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and so on. He has also participated in two projects of National Program on Key Basic Research Project (973 Program) as a key member. In the past five years, he has published more than 30 papers, including more than 10 SCI papers and more than 20 EI papers. He is the International Editorial Advisory Board of Journal Brodogradnja/Shipbuilding (SCI), and the Reviewer for internaional journal: Ocean Engineering, Applied Ocean Research, Ships and Offshore Structures, China Ocean Engineering, Advances in Structural Engineering, Journal of Ship Production and Design, Journal of Ocean University of China, Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment, Journal of Vibration and Shock, The Ocean Engineering, Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics, Journal of Dalian Maritime University, Periodical of Ocean University of China (Natural Science Edition), Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Natural Science Edition) and so on.
