摘要： The prediction results of port scale, throughput capacity and other operating indices play an important role in port planning and construction. And the first prediction step is to analyze and screen a large number of factors that affect local society and economy. In order to accomplish the object, the secondary screening method is proposed by combining principal component analysis (PCA) and the t-value test. The significant key factors could be obtained by using the secondary screening method so as to predict port operating indices. Finally, one port is taken as an example to screen the factors influencing the throughput index and start prediction. The analysis results could serve as a reference for port planning and construction.
