Prof. Xu is currently an associate professor in the R&D Institute of Fluid and Powder Engineering at Dalian University of Technology. He graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology with his Ph.D. in 2012. His research is in the broad area of Fluid Mechanics, with emphasis on the laboratory experiments and numerical simulation to elucidate multiphase flow and transport mechanisms. Current research projects focus on four contexts: (1) Multiphase flow separation and pollution prevention, and (2) process intensification technology and equipment.
