Dr. Yongzhen Wang is an associate professor at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dalian University of Technology. Before that, he was a postdoctoral appointee (mentor Dr. Xiaozhong Liu) at School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering, Indiana University Bloomington. His research interests include natural language processing, text mining, and computational social science. His dissertation at Dalian Maritime University explored a deep learning-based text summarization method, which was effectively applied to auto-generate literature reviews for scholarly papers by extracting salient sentences from a collection of references. His recent research is focusing on science of science and informetrics. While active in academia, his research also extends to industry, e.g., he was a research intern at Alibaba DAMO Academy and participated in a number of prestigious projects on the most cutting-edge and market-driven topics.
