Abstract:With the rapid expansion of biomedical literatures, the demand for efficiently extracting biomedical information from the huge amount of literature resources is increasing rapidly. This paper presents a Conditional Random Fields based passage retrieval method that can extract variable length relevant passages. In this method Conditional Random Fields are used to label a set of observation sentence sequences based on which the variable length passages are extracted. Experiment result shows that the method can extract variable length passages in biomedical literature effectively.
