Dr. Dong has been on the faculty of the Department of Civil Engineering at the Dalian University of Technology since 2018. Now he is an associate professor. He holds a B.S. (Lanzhou University of Technology, 2011), M.S. (Dalian University of Technology, 2014) and Ph.D. (Dalian University of Technology, 2018), all in civil engineering. Dr. Dong has research interests in seismic performance of steel structures, and multi-hazard analysis and assessment on engineering structures. He is the member of the American Society of Civil Engineering (Aff. M. ASCE), the International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE), and Earthquake Engineering Research Institute of America (EERI). He has published more than 20 journal papers in his research fields including Journal of Structural Engineering-ASCE papers and serves as a reviewer for some international journals such as Composite Structures. In 2019, Dr. Dong received the Best Young Researcher Award of 18th International Conference on Civil and Environment Engineering at Busan, Korea. Now he is the Principal Investigator of National Natural Science Foundation of China and two subprojects of the National Key R&D Program of China.
