摘要:We propose an optimal control formulation of the batch culture of glycerol bio-dissimilation to 1,3-propanediol (1,3-PD) in industrial production, a gradient-based optimization algorithm is developed to solve the problem. Since the algorithm needs to solve state and costate differential equations simultaneously, and the solution may be trapped at a local one, in this paper, based on the theory of swarm intelligence algorithm, together with the time-scaling transformation and smoothing technique, we propose a modified particle swarm algorithm to solve the optimal control problem. Numerical results show that by employing the optimal control strategy, the concentration of 1,3-PD at the terminal time is higher compared with the previous results.
