Abstract:The characteristics of TiO2 catalyzed photodegradation of a azodye in water using rotation reactor was studied. UV lamp was installed in the centre of tubular reactor for uniform radiation. The results showed that optimal pH value and optimal rention time for degradation of the azodye were pH 6 and 20min, respectively. The degradation efficiency was affected by thickness of water in the reactor and rotation rate. Over 98% degradation by suspended TiO2 and 78. 5%-91.5% degradation by fixed TiO2 degradation were observed under optimal conditions.
