摘要:Fire pit is a new heating facility in the Chinese north countryside. In this paper, experiments on smolder in fire pit have been carried out with a horizontal cellulose packed bed and a perpendicular one, respectively. Characteristics of the gas production of CH4, H2, CO and CO2 have been drawn from the measurements. The effects of moisture content, air condition and direction of smoldering propagation on the product gases are also discussed. These results are of great significance for clarifying the smolder mechanism and improving efficiency of the fire pit.
