Abstract:It is the normal way to sharpen the edge with the simplifiedconical drill in tool manufacturer and workshop. To optimize the normal drill geometry and the associated machine settings, the paper gives the detailed mathematical and numerical simulation with the help of the theoretical study of the straight lipped conical grinding method. It descries the mathematical model of this method and the resulted geometrical features.
