Abstract:This paper deals with an inverse problem of reconstruction force exerting on airfoil of pilotless aircraft. The force is approximated by a single base function, and then the force identification problem is transformed into a problem of finding weighted coefficients of base function in temporal space and spatial space. This scheme has the flexibility to allocate the approximate the knots in spatial space and temporal space, and the spatio-temporal constraint information can be effectively utilized in impact force identification process. However, the inverse solution process is still ill-posed, a regularization technique is introduced to this solution process. Finally, this method is successfully applied to reconstruct the time history of impact force on airfoil of pilotless aircraft in laboratory test. ?2009 Society for Experimental Mechanics Inc.
