Uncertainty-based research on integrated natural disaster risk on coastal cities

摘要:The coastal cities are always exposed under the risk of different kinds of natural disasters due to their special locations. The integrated risk analysis method should be developed from the commonness of hazard-affected bodies and mainly focus on the risk uncertainties. In this paper, the influence factors about natural disaster hazards and vulnerability of coastal cities are summarized and classified according to their identical, opposite and fluctuant properties. The risk assessment model is founded based on the connection degree approach of set pairs. The entropies of weight factors, which are acquired by projection pursuit method, determine the extent of fluctuant performance. The departure direction and extent of fluctuant performance form the threshold of natural disaster risk. Based on the analysis results, different decision makers could make decision according to their personal risk preferences. Furthermore, the range of natural disaster loss could be computed if met some conditions. ? 2010 IEEE.
