摘要：This research analyzes the relation and the distinction among the conceptions of ecological consumption, moderate consumption, green consumption and sustainable consumption and further demonstrates the scientific character and reasonability of the ecological consumption. By taking the methods of satisfying human ecological needs, improving the consumption capacity and maximizing human development, it also proposes a socialist ecological consumption pattern which is compatible with the ecological civilization.
   There is no doubt that unreasonable production pattern and consumption pattern in modern times, to some extent, leads to global ecological crisis. However, it is encouraging that many scholars turned to research on consumption. In research on the relationship between consumption and ecological environment, people are gradually aware of a problem that "what people consume today are no more the interests of ecological environment but the capital". [1] In real life, people begin to realize that the immoderate consuming desires inevitably cause the antagonism between man and nature. Then recourses run out and environmental crisis will arise. Therefore, people start to seek the lifestyle and consumption pattern which are coordinated with nature, society and humanity itself. As a result, the studies on the theory of ecological consumption emerge at the right moment.
