Abstract:Large container ships can only be anchored in deep trunk port, which needs container feeder service to transit and transport the cargos from of trunk ship, thus creating a shaft-spoke maritime transport mode. So, the electronic chart system in marine simulator is adopted to design routes and calculate the ETA of two ports, with consideration of vessel maneuverability and actual turning radius. In considering the limit of time it takes from the feeder port to the hub port and the ships capacity, the shortest ship sailing time is taken as the objective function, and then one mixed integer programming model is established for the container vessels regional transportation. By using the heuristic tour route coding, its solution based on genetic algorithms is presented, and it can achieve route selection. Finally, with ship capacity 150TEU, the numerical evaluation was conducted by the operation of the ship program calculation, and the results show that when after 95 iterations the total journey time reached minimum 403.0h with 6 optimal routes.
