Abstract:As High-speed flame passes in narrow channel, the accuracy of the numerical simulation of the flame quenching depends not only on the selection of mainstream turbulence model, but also on the selection of wall functions. This paper takes use of three types of wall functions including Standard wall functions, Non-equilibrium wall functions and Enhanced wall functions, and selects the k - epsilon turbulence model in the mainstream, setting up a high-speed flame quenching model in the narrow channel. Compared with the experimental data, the results of the three wall functions are in a good agreement with experimental ones, and all reflect that there is a linear relationship between narrow spacing and quenching length. But among the three wall functions, the simulation results of Enhanced wall functions coincide with the experimental results most, it can predict effectively the relationship between narrow spacing and quenching length.
