Abstract:This paper deals with the frequency response functions of composite laminated plate with delamination.A virtual interface element is developed, which is inserted in the delaminated region for preventing overlap and penetration between the upper and lower sublaminates during vibration process.Based on Adams' strain energy method,a damping model is applied for predicting the specific damping capacity (SDC).A finite element method for calculating frequency response functions is established. Some numerical results are given. The method provided in this paper is not only to get better understanding of dynamic behavior, but also to be used for prediction of the damaged state in the composite plates.
