Abstract:The acoustic radiation damping is theoretically determined from the ratio of the acoustic energy radiated per cycle to the total vibratory energy. Decompose the acoustic energy into the acoustic radiation modes, base on the definition of acoustic radiation damping, the FEM/BEM coupling numerical simulation method is established and numerical solutions for acoustic radiation modes, mode radiation efficiency, acoustic radiation damping and mode acoustic radiation damping of the fluid-loaded plate are presented. The results show that the acoustic radiation modes in light/heavy fluid is basically similar; the first mode radiation efficiency in heavy fluid is much greater than the other mode radiation efficiency; in low-frequency region, the first mode acoustic radiation damping is similar to the total acoustic radiation damping of the plate; the first mode acoustic radiation damping in heavy fluid is domain in the total acoustic radiation damping.
