摘要: The research work on low order vibration characteristics of plates with covering layer is presented. The covering layer and the plate are treated as laminar plate, which is modelled by 4-node Mindlin plate element in numerical analysis of natural vibration characteristics. In order to obtain appropriate method to compute the natural vibration frequency of structures with covering layer, various thicknesses of plate and covering layer are considered. Comparison is made between laminar model and simplified method of equivalent mass of covering layer. Moreover, fifteen specimens of 3 plate thicknesses and 5 covering thicknesses are tested. The results of measurements and numerical simulations are compared so as to estimate the accuracy of the simulations. The work presented provides a basis for the selection of vibration analysis methods for plates with covering layers.
