Abstract: An explicit relationship between viscoelastic constitutive parameters and quasi-static displacement was developed and the numerical model based on finite element method was derived. Some new methods were employed in genetic algorithm, and by utilizing the improved genetic algorithm, a general approach of identifying viscoelastic constitutive parameters was presented with numerical validation, while the information error was considered preliminarily.
