Abstract: This paper presents a new approach to solve dynamic bimodular problems. By utilizing a smoothing technique, the constitutive discontinuity can be avoided, and a FE-based precise incremental dynamic equation is derived. In order to secure the dynamic analysis credible, both a step-by-step linear acceleration algorithm and Wilson-theta method are employed in the solution process.
