Abstract: Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB) related Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion (MIC) has been extensively studied. This paper presents a review of some mechanisms involved in SRB influenced corrosion, the role of some factors in the presence of SRB, and the methods for monitoring MIC by SRB.
