Abstract:To cope with the increasingly aggravating atmospheric environment, this paper investigated microbial flue gas desulfurization technology and sieved out sulfate reducing bacteria flora composed of a pair of symbiotic Desulfovibrio sp. YAZ1 and Enterococcus sp. YAZ2 from activated sludge. Phylogenetic analysis of flora was conducted. The NaCl concentrations, nitrogen sources, inoculated quantity, and initial sulfate concentration are studied as parameters affecting the growth of flora and sulfate removal efficiency. The results showed that the screened flora could grow in NaCl with concentration less than 5%. The optimal nitrogen source was dusty yeast with optimal inoculated quantity of 20%-25%, which could effectively remove sulfate with an initial concentration of 5000 mg/L. ? 2011 IEEE.
