摘要:Some strain-controlled consolidation drained (CD) and consolidation un-drained (CU) static tri-axial shear tests were carried out on the silt specimens sampled by wet tamping method controlled the initial water content from 10% to 24% for different silt under the same initial dry density. The influence of initial water content in wet tamping method on the stress-strain relation, effective stress path and shear strength index was discussed. The test results showed that the initial water content had little influence on the stress-strain relations for CD test, but more influence for CU test. In CU test the stress-strain relation of specimens changed from softening to hardening with the initial water content changed from 10% to 24%. The initial water content limit (about 16% or 20% for different soil) was found that the stress-strain relation of specimen was just the changing state from softening to hardening. There was a phase transformation appeared in the effective stress path when the water content was higher than the limited water content. The initial water content limit was the highest one when there was no phase transformation. The shear strength indexes of specimens were different with different initial water content. The largest decrease of the total and effective stress internal friction angles were 14% and 16% respectively for 2# silt, 31% and 27% respectively for 3# silt. ? 2009 EJGE.
