Abstract:A numerical method for analyzing the electromagnetic performance of radome is investigated. Firstly, based on the measuring data, the geometry of radome is represented by means of the Spline function and the fairing technique is used in order to obtain a smooth radome surface. Then, the system of nonlinear equations, which are composed of tile surface equation of antenna and the piecewise spline curve functions of radome, are solved using dichotomy and the integration area is obtained, which is used in the Plane Wave Spectrum method.. Further, the directional pattern of far field of radome is simulated by virtue of the Plane Wave Spectrum-Surface Integration (PWS-SI). Finally, some practical examples verified that the proposed method is feasible and efficient.
