Abstract:Based on the cognitive perspective, we use approach of grounded theory approach analysis, study and analysis the dominant logic of Chinese enterprises of Complex Product Systems(CoPS), trying to reveal characteristics of cognitive and decision-making process of CoPS in innovation and development of products. This study found: with the impact of market and the product structure, dominant logic of Chinese CoPS enterprises is characterized in task-oriented and technical-focused, and includes task-driver, task-definition, technology-acquisition (or task-realization), and technological accumulation. Cognitive of CoPS have focused on product development and technology pursuit, which significantly contributed to the development of technology and competitive advantage generating. However, in view of the system theory and dynamic perspective, under the unitary market structure, relying on the external driver will result in deletion of endogenous innovative motion and creation ability. Our found may explain why Chinese CoPS failed to break through the barrier of conventional development model.
