Abstract:There are multiple-type uncertainties in steam power systems, which can be classified as time-based, probability-based and set-based uncertainties. Multi-period operation was used to treat time-based uncertainties, while chance-constrained programming and robust optimization were coupled to deal with probability-based and set-based uncertainties in each period. A robust optimization model with chance constraints was established. A steam power system in a petrochemical enterprise was studied by comparing the optimal operation schemes with traditional models. Numerical results show that the model in this research could balance the economy and stability of the system and obtain robust decisions with acceptable risks under complex uncertainties. © 2021, Editorial Board of "Journal of Chemical Engineering of Chinese Universities".
