Abstract:A 3-dimensional cellular automaton model was developed to simulate dynamic recrystallization of the metallic material. The model coupled the heat process parameters at the macroscopic scale with the dislocation development at the micro-scopic scale. The influence of dynamic recovcry, nucleation rate,strain,and initial grain size was considered. It could track the microstructural evolution of dynamic recryslallization process,and calculate the morphology, orientation and mean grain size of recrystallization grain. The simulated results agree well with the growth kinetics of dynamic recrystallization. The predictions and crystal topology show very good agreement with the experimental results.
