Abstract: Researchers transform the relatively simple transient heat conduction model in the one-dimensional multilayer composite media into dimensionless form using dimensionless factors to generalize and simplify this method, and derive the corresponding analytical solution applying this approach. A new type of natural orthogonal relation of eigenfunctions is also developed by the authors and then used during the development of the solution. A comparison between the theoretical and the finite element solutions is also performed, and the compared results show that the two agree closely.
