Abstract: The method of combining the genetic algorithm(GA)with BP algorithm together and supplemented mutually by optimizing the initial weights of ANN with GA has been introduced,, Based on GA-LMBP neural network, the known testing data was used to establish a computational model to monitor the horizontal deformation of the 30# dam of Fengman hydropower station in Jilin province. Through comparing with the results, we get a conclusion that the proposed model has a preferable precision and applicability. It can be widely used in the testing forecast for water conservancy structure deformation.
