No reflection numerical wave flume with smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method

Abstract: Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) is one kind of mesh-free method with excellent adaptive nature for simulating fluid motion. A two-dimensional numerical wave flume is established with SPH method. An absorbing wavemaker boundary condition for particle method and layout of sponge layer are present. The capacity of absorbing second reflecting waves and incoming waves for absorbing wavemaker and sponge layer is validated through comparison of the numerical results with general wavemaker and solid boundary, respectively.
