Abstract: The state of art of finite element analysis and optimization design software system JIFEX are introduced. The aspects introduced are concentrated on: (1) the basic theory in mechanics for contact analysis of industrial equipment and its applications in the analysis of 2D and 3D contact problems; (2) the material nonlinear analysis and elastoplastic contact analysis of engineering structures; (3) the numerical algorithm and its implementation for thermal mechanical contact analysis. Some typical engineering applications such as Turbocharger Disk-Blade and the railway wheel/rail contact analysis are presented.
