摘要:High-speed milling is often utilised for machining titanium-alloy curved surface parts. Due to the geometrical characteristic change of the curved surface parts, the milling-force fluctuates frequently, which not only induces machine-tool vibration but also is harmful to the processing quality of the machined parts and the tool life. This study conducts the optimising selection of machining parameters on account of reducing the cutting-force fluctuation for high-speed milling of titanium-alloy curved surface parts. Experimental studies indicate that in high-speed milling of titanium-alloy curved surface parts, the recommended cutting velocity and feed per tooth are 197.8 m.min-1and 0.025 mm.z-1respectively, and the recommended range of cutting depth is larger than 0.5 mm within the strength limitation of cutting tool. With the recommended machining parameters, the cutting-force fluctuation ratio is smaller, and then the machining quality can be guaranteed for the titaniumalloy curved surface parts in high-speed milling.
