Abstract:Krashen's Input hypothesis is one of the most important theories in second language acquisition. It provides a good theoretical framework for foreign language teaching in China. Based on the analysis of the data from the surveys of the changes Of the English courses for the engineering majors and the CET-4 and CET-6 results of 192 students in Dalian University of Technology (DUT), the author explored the impact of comprehensible input on English proficiency of EFL learners. Moreover, a brief discussion is made on the effective ways of improving the English proficiency of EFL learners.
