Abstract:The reaction of borax with slaked lime in the water is earried out to produce talcium metaborate hexahydrate (CaO·B_2O_3·6H_2O)and the mother liquor rich in sodium metaborate which is then evaporated,concentrated and cryslallized to obtain crystals of sodium metaborate.The obtained sodium metaborate is employed to react with 30%hydrogen peroxide in the presence of stabilizer,and the resultant mixture is filtrated to obtain sodium perborate tetrahydrate.Sodium perborate tetmhydmte is dehydrated to afford sodium perborate monohydrate by rotary evaporator.The effects of raw materials mole ratio,reaction temperature,reaction time,liquid-to-sofid ratio and kinds of stabilizer on synthesis reaction and product quality are investigated.Based on experiments,the suitable processing psrameters are obtained as follows:1∶1.1 of n(NaBO_2·4H_2O)/n(H_2O_2)as reactive raw materials mole ratio,3.3∶1(mL/g)of liquid-to-solid ratio,25-30℃as reaction temperature and 60-75 min of reaction time,with polyaerylic aid as the stabilizer.The mass fraction of B_2O_3 in the product can be 22%-24%,the content (mass fraction)of NABO_3·4H_2O be more than 96%.the mass fraction of active oxygen can be above 10%and that of Fe less than 0.004%.The content(mass fraction)of active oxygen for sodium perborate monohydrate can be about 15%.
