Abstract:This paper investigates the problem of robustly stable in the mean square for stochastic Hopfield neural networks (HNNs) with time-varying delays and uncertainties. The time-varying discrete delay is assumed to belong to an interval. By defining a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional (LKF) and employing the stochastic stability theory and some new analysis techniques, an improved delay-range-dependent stability criterion is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Some novel techniques are utilized to reduce the conservativeness. Finally, two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and the improvement of our results. ? 2011 ICIC International.
