Abstract:The discharge characteristics of dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor filled with granular activated carbon (AC) were studied in this paper. The effects of discharge characteristics on particle size and quantity of AC were analyzed. Moreover, the relationship between the supply voltage and the plasma discharge power was discussed. The results showed that the discharge current and power varied significantly with filling of the AC, but the discharge power was not in a simple linear relationship with addition amount of the AC. The experiment is helpful to provide an experimental foundation for the regeneration and surface organic matter degradation of AC by dielectric barrier discharge.
