Abstract:The goal for reformation of higher education is to achieve a superior teaching quality. The spring and the development of research-oriented universities, puts forward new requests on teaching method and cultivation model. And it drives ahead the exploration and practice of research-oriented teaching method and cultivation model. Structural chemistry comprises a central body of knowledge that describes, explains and predicts the physical and chemical properties of matter of all states at the molecular level, based on the start-of-art computational efforts. In order to achieve a superior teaching quality, a research-oriented learning environment based on high performance computing technique was designed and implemented for structural chemistry course. The key idea behind, the technology involved together with its impact on the teaching quality were described and discussed in detail.
