Abstract: Three unsymmetrical bolaform surfactants with different aromatic rings and a omega-carboxyalkyl chain were synthesized and their molecular structures were characterized by ESI-MS and H-1 NMR. The percentages of conversion of alkylation were judged by the iodine value measurements and the effect of reaction temperature on sulfonate content of synthesized products has also been discussed.
