摘要:Nitrogen and oxygen-containing porous carbon spheres were prepared via ZnCl2 activation of the pristine nitrogen and oxygen-enriched resin spheres under various activation temperatures. The porosity, nitrogen and oxygen contents, as well as charge transfer resistance of the carbon spheres depended strongly on the activation temperature. As the activated temperature increased from 450 degrees C to 750 degrees C, the specific surface area decreased from 2207 to 1674 m(2)/g, along with improved conductivity but decrease of nitrogen and oxygen contents. The porous carbon spheres were activated at 650 degrees C, possessed balanced electron conductivity and specific surface area, and exhibited the excellent rate performance (226.7 F/g at 1 A/g maintaining 168.3 F/g at 40 A/g) in 6 mol/L KOH aqueous electrolyte. Moreover, it showed good cycling life even at high current density (96% capacitance retention after 10000 cycles at the current density of 20 A/g), rendering it a compact promising electrode material for supercapacitors.
