Abstract: In this paper, we investigate hypersurfaces with the vanishing (r + 1)th mean Curvature in space forms, which are called r-minimal. We give some characteristics of r-minimal hypersurfaces in space forms. In addition, we study r-minimal hypersurfaces with two distinct principal curvatures in space forms. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V.
